See what practices say about their imaging and scanners.
Practices placing implants with no imaging named, premises with planning approved and no registration, and registered company charges — distinct source observations, not proof of equipment purchases.

“Which US practices mention implants, what imaging equipment do their websites name, and which details still need to be checked?”

The count, then the practices
4,013 Florida practices offer implants. 2,450 sell full arch. 1,592 of those name no 3D X-ray, and 701 name no scanner either.
183 of those 701 have a dentist at the address who took money from an imaging manufacturer during 2025. The website says nothing at all. The federal disclosure says somebody's rep has already been in that building.

Rating and reviews from each practice's Google listing; payments from the CMS Open Payments file for 2025. Read from the database on 7 September 2026.
The evidence, its source, its date
- The payments are CMS Open Payments, the federal disclosure every manufacturer files. We hold 188,160 records covering 1 January to 31 December 2025. 93,643 of them are matched to a practice we hold, across 22,957 practices. Every row shows the manufacturer, the amount, the date and the category.
- The manufacturers are the brands you sell against. Dentsply Sirona files for CEREC, Primescan and Orthophos. Align files for iTero. Envista files for DEXIS and Nobel Biocare. Carestream, 3Shape, Planmeca and Vatech file under their own names. Distinct dentists paid nationally last year: Align 24,507, Dentsply Sirona 14,695, Envista 9,189, Carestream 264, Planmeca 87, 3Shape 57, Vatech 8.
- Full arch, rating and reviews come from the website and the Google listing, both dated on the profile.
It reads in both directions. Paid, and nothing named on the site, means there is probably kit in the building and the website has not caught up: that is the 183, and what the kit actually is can only be settled in the room. No payment matched at all is 956 of the 1,592 — colder, and weaker evidence, because only half the file matches to a practice.
What changed, and when
Harbour Dental Care on Atlantic Boulevard, Jacksonville, sells full arch, names neither a 3D X-ray nor a scanner on its website, and holds 1,321 reviews at 4.8. Five payments from Align and Dentsply Sirona are recorded against dentists at that address during 2025, the last on 3 July.
Money spent on a dentist and nothing named on the site is usually kit that arrived and a website that never caught up. 183 Florida practices are in exactly that state — paid, and silent about imaging.
Those July dates are the newest the United States publishes on this. The file is annual and covers 2025 whole; nothing in the American record dates a purchase to the week the way a UK charge does.
The arithmetic, shown at three levels
The nearest alternative's $12,000-a-year Corporate contract buys a clinic list. This is the difference between 4,013 Florida practices and 183 addresses where a manufacturer has already spent money on the dentist and the website still says nothing.
Gross margin on one placed unit against the seat:
| If your margin on one unit is | Then one extra placement a quarter is | Against a seat at $49/month |
|---|---|---|
| $4,000 | $16,000 a year | 27× |
| $8,000 | $32,000 a year | 54× |
| $16,000 | $64,000 a year | 109× |
A founding seat is $49 a month, $588 a year. Put your own margin in; the multiple moves, the conclusion doesn't.
The gaps, before you find them
A payment is not a purchase. Food and beverage is by far the commonest category: 88,316 of the imaging-brand records. Somebody bought a dentist lunch. We show you the manufacturer, the amount, the date and the category, and we do not tell you it means they own the machine.
The file is 2025 only. 1 January to 31 December. It is annual, it is not live, and the next release will move these numbers.
Half of it is unmatched. 93,643 of 188,160 records are matched to a practice. “No payment on record” means no payment we have matched, never “took nothing”.
The payment is to a dentist, not to the practice. A dentist can work at two addresses. We match to the address in the filing.
Nothing dates a US change to the day. No care register that names the practice a new registration replaced, and no Companies House. The UK dates a change of operator to the day; the US has no equivalent, and we don't invent one.
What the practice sees about itself. Not the financial half of the record. Company filings, filed accounts and warning signs sit on a subscriber's view of a practice and are never rendered on a practice-facing one, in either direction. The rule is written once and applies in both markets, and the United States simply files less to withhold.
Questions
Does "no scanner mentioned" mean they refer out for scans?
No. It means the website we read does not mention one. Some practices have a scanner and don't say; some refer out; some use a nearby scanning centre. Ask before you pitch.
Is "planning approved" an opening date?
No. Permission is granted; the register entry is usually months away, and some premises never open. Every card says "First seen by DentalGraph on {date}. Not an opening date." Where an existing practice was expanding, the typical gap from the first sign to registration was 282 days (90 cases, measured by hand, 27 August 2026).
Do you read websites for scanners outside the UK?
The UK and the United States, both from the practices' own websites. For Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Ireland we hold name, website, Google rating and implant services from the website.
